Comentario de Goya según el manuscrito del Prado: “A donde irá esta caterba ynfer.l1, dando aullidos p.r el aire, entre las tinieb.s de la noche. Aun si fuera de dia ya era otra cosa y a fu[e]rza de escopet.s2, caeria al suelo toda la gorullada3, pero como es de noche, nadie las ve”.

There were about 610 impressions in the first five editions.. Goya comments, "Where is this infernal company going, filling the air with noise in the darkness of night? If it were daytime it would be quite a different matter and gun shots would bring the whole group of them to the ground; but as it is night, no one can see them." One of the most nightmarish images in the Caprichos (or almost any other illustrated text). Image size: 21,5 x 15,1 cm.
